The ghost town of Ballarat had 400 residents at the turn of the 20th century when mines were active in the area. Faults are from the USGS Quaternary faults database. Cichanski (2000) mapped the southern portion of the range front and found generally low-angle faults (dips 1534), with indications that these fault surfaces have been cut by steeper faults, but the vertical offset on these faults is minor.
